The match got off to a late start due to difficulty getting the goals out of the cage and onto the field. After using some shifters to move the gate and get the goals, both teams were eager to hit the field in an exciting first half. Jess Bochiochi kicked the first goal of the match after 37 minutes. Sarah Ayan, making her season debut, came on to kick another goal 3 minutes after she entered the field, assisted by a great pass from Mim Harrison.

The second half saw Steph McGraw, also making her match debut, kick a goal 70 minutes in. This was followed by yet another goal from midfielder Nicole McLean. Keeper Maria Fasano also playing her first match of the season and kept an outstanding clean sheet resulting in a final score of 4-0.
